It would be a good bet if Chelsea were to play all of their regulars. The problem here is that Chelsea have won the Premiership Title, had the trophy presented to them at their final home game last weekend and they broke the record for most points in a single season when they beat Manchester United on Tuesday. With all of this, it is highly unlikely that Chelsea will field their usual starters for a totally insignificant match.

while chelsea will rest some players and have a few definitely out, such as john terry, their team will still be stronger than most premiership sides.

and while they have wrapped up the title and a few records, they have more records they wish to set and extend, plus there's arsenal's record of most consecutive games unbeaten to aim for.

newcastle have their own selection problems - ameobi is suspended and kluivert is doubtful. it's been such a difficult season for the club that most are probably just looking forward to it being over.

so i would be tempted to back chelsea if i was going to have a bet.
